The land

Deep roots, open gaze

The Paltis rows at sunset, with the mountain and the Adige valley behind

Paltis comes from a long, steady familiarity with this land.

Since 1982, between the Dolomites and Lake Garda, we have watched these vines, their difficult soils, the winds that come down from the mountain and shape their character. Our roots are here, but they never become habit. Year after year we listen to what the vineyard tells us, adapting choices and timing without forcing anything.

For us, evolving does not mean changing direction, but understanding ever more deeply what is in front of us.

Harvesting by hand, bunch by bunch

Wine takes shape in the vineyard

Quality is decided between the rows, where, in selected plots, the vine creates the harmony of the wine.

The vineyard changes, and we change with it

Every vintage brings different conditions, never repeatable. Climate, timing and responses change. Our work is to read these signals and respond with precision. Paltis does not force nature. It reads the signs, adapts its choices, translates the vintage into wine.

Within the limits… the infinite

Every year the mountain guides the selection, showing what can express itself fully and what must be left out.

Our work is to recognise that precise limit and turn it into wine, without forcing. Nature sets the limit. We accept its measure.
